Matt and Ragen Harman

As newcomers to the area, we were looking for a church to call our home. After visiting several churches, we attended a service at E-Free and immediately knew this was where God wanted us to be. We encountered great worship, Bible-based teaching and wonderful fellowship. Everyone was so welcoming, friendly, and “real.” As we learned more about the church, two really important aspects stood out to us: small-group opportunities and the active ministries for young children.

After only a few weeks, we were invited into a small group where we were able to develop intimate relationships with people in the church. Our weekly meetings included a time of fellowship followed by Bible study, discussion and prayer. It has been amazing to see how God has blessed the relationships made in that group, relationships that continue to this day. The group really made us feel loved. It was as if we found a family away from family.

In addition to our small group, another area of particular interest to us was the opportunities available to the youth. While expecting our first child at the time, it was important for us to find a church that would partner with us in raising children who always put Jesus first in their lives.  We quickly learned that there were opportunities for younger kids to get involved, including the Pioneer Girls and Christian Service Brigade. These programs offer children a sound Christian education and provide opportunities to fellowship with their peers.

After almost four years as a part of this church family, we are continually blessed by the relationships we have made and our own spiritual growth. God has used the ministries that we are now involved in to challenge us and reveal the plans that he has for us. We are so thankful that God has led us to this place where we can grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ.
